"I want to show you that the real world, as understood scientifically, has magic of its own- the kind I call poetic magic: an inspiring beauty which is all the more magical because it is real and because we can understand how it works... The magic of reality is- quite simply- wonderful. Wonderful, and real. Wonderful because real."

The Magic of Reality: How We Know What's Really True, is authored by Richard Dawkins. He is the author of several bestselling books like The Selfish Gene and The God Delusion, and is a fellow of the Royal Society.
The book is an exploration of the entire universe, and how it works. It explains a wide variety of phenomenons- how it works and why it happens. In addition to this, many chapters begin with how ancient humans viewed the phenomena and their myths and traditions that revolve around various natural events. This adds a fictional element to a work of non-fiction, which allows readers of all types to enjoy the book.
The first chapter asks the questions: What is reality? What is magic? By the end of the book, the reader is sure to believe that the two are the same.
Each chapter is headed by a question about the natural world. The question is then answered in the most elaborate yet simple manner possible.
Why do bad things happen? Are we alone? What is a miracle? These are just some of the questions whose answers can be found in the book.
As someone who doesn't read much non-fiction, this book changed my opinion entirely of the genre. The storytelling in the book is phenomenal and is recommended to everyone who shies away from this genre.
