Royals vs Kings in today's midtable clash

Updated: Mar 21, 2021

Despite their closeness at 5th and 6th in the points table respectively, Kohli - led RCB and Dhoni-led CSK have had contrasting and unexpected campaigns in this edition of the Dream 11 IPL. CSK, the team who won the 2018 season and finished runners - up in 2019, coughed up 4 losses after a comprehensive win over the defending champions MI in the opening game. On the other hand, RCB, who finished 6th and last in 2018 and 2019 respectively, have managed to get 3 wins out of 5 in their bag up til now. Well, that's just how 2020 is.

Starting with some bad news, despite playing some good cricket, RCB has been rather inconsistent. Known for being a stronger batting side, their concern would lay in the dreadful collapse against DC in the last game. On the other hand, the pace bowling has been leaking runs, and there have been over-dependence on Sundar and especially Chahal, their leading spinners. With him looking fit, Chris Morris would be a good addition to the side. In the Yellow camp, the rather animated Stephen Fleming this year would be worried about CSK's fragile middle order, that seems to hit - and - miss in all games. With Jadhav receiving flak for his performance against KKR, he might be warming the bench this time around to give an opportunity to some other player. The bowling so far has been flourishing to an extent though, and Dhoni and Co. would be happy with how the bowling unit had restricted KKR last time around.

CSK leads the head to head between the two sides, having won 16 clashes against RCB out of a total of 25, with one yielding no - result. However, a revitalised RCB this season would look for those 2 points and a win to add to that tally.

In a feisty encounter featuring one of the most revered rivalries in IPL cricket, we sure are in store for an exciting clash in Dubai.
