On Monday, China inculpated the G7 of ‘political manipulation’ after the summit pointed out faults in Beijing’s human rights record in Hong Kong and Xinjiang.
In a dispatch after the three-day summit that was held in England, the leaders of the G7 slammed China over abuses against small areas in Xinjiang province. They also mentioned the pro-democracy zealots in Hong Kong. Joe Biden - President of the United States - indicated Beijing to start making more responsible/mature decisions in the terms of international/global norms on human rights.

Once China received the message, the Chinese embassy in the United Kingdomretaliated, with indignation, on Monday. The Chinese embassy then accused the G7 of intermeddling.
In a further statement, an embassy representative said that the G7 takes advantage of the issues related to Xinjiang to interfere with China's internal affairs, which the Chinese embassy is not glad about. The spokesman also said that the G7 was taking advantage of the said topic to engage in political manipulation.
Human rights groups mentioned that China rounded up a few small regions. Beijing says that an estimate of one million Uyghurs and other minorities in Xinjiang have been rounded up by China into internment camps. It seems that this was done to extirpate Islamic extremism.
The G7 communique mentioned that they will proselytize their values, which includes them openly calling on China to revere/respect human rights and foundational freedoms.
The summit that was held on 11-13 June, was their first physical meeting in nearly 2 years. The leaders of the seven nations discussed a variety of topics. They announced many pledges on climate change, rights and trades, and Covid-19 vaccinations.
They also called for a fresh investigation to be started in China into the origination of Covid-19. This act engendered a reply from the Chinese embassy that said the work will need to be completed in an “objective, scientific and fair manner”, without concurring to a new inquiry. The embassy said that the virus is still actively spreading so the traceability work should not be politicized, rather, it should be the focus of global scientists and not politicians.
The statement that was given by the Chinese embassy opposed in response that the accusations made against China on the trade and economic issues are not only unreasonable but are also inconsistent with the facts.
