Said by Natasha Romanoff in the movie ‘Avengers’, Scarlett Johanssen always leaves her fans wanting more. Well, Congratulations! It looks like Marvel fans will finally get their wishes to come true.
Black Widow is an American superhero film that is based on the Marvel Comics character. The movie, which is yet to come out in cinemas, is Produced by Marvel Studios and issued by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. This is the 24th film in the MCU - Marvel Cinematic Universe - timeline.

Directed by Cate Shortland, this film stars Scarlett Johanssen, Florence Pugh. O-T Fagbenle, David Harbour, Rachel Weisz, Ray Winstone and William Hurt.
This movie is set after Captain America: Civil War - (2016) - and shows Romanoff being forced to confront her past and on the run.
The development of a Black Widow movie started in April 2004. Scarlett Johanssen has been cast in multiple MCU movies. She made her first debut in Iron Man 2 (2010), and was cast in several movies after that. After her first appearance, Marvel began discussing the opportunity of a solo film featuring ‘Natasha Romanoff’.
Once all was discussed and agreed upon, the work began in 2017. Filming and casting took approximately six months, from May to October 2019. The filming took place in various locations, their names as followed; Norway, Morocco, Pinewood Studios (located in England), Atlanta, Budapest, and Macon (a city in Georgia).
The opening night of Black Widow premiered on June 29, 2021, and several events, internationally. The film is lined up to be released in the United States on July 9th. ‘Black Widow’ will be able to be accessed through the cinemas/theaters and Disney+ with Premier access. This is the first film in Phase 4 of the MCU, and its running time is 134 minutes. The original release date of this film was meant to be in May 2020 but was delayed more than once due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
In this action-packed spy thriller, Black Widow aka Natasha Romanoff is forced/must confront the more tragic/darker parts of her previous life as an assassin, when a minacious conspiracy with ties to her past emerges. Natasha has to deal with her history as a spy and assassin and the line of broken relationships she left behind, before becoming an Avenger, as a menacing force (the taskmaster) pursues her, intending to bring her down, no matter what the cost.
The reviews received by the film from critics were mostly positive, and many people applauded the performance done by all actors/actresses cast.
